Local citizen owned corporate governance and corporate secretarial consultancy, Wise Leadership Pty (Ltd) is set to host their inaugural corporate governance conference on the 19th to the 20th of October 2022 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with a virtual option.
Under the theme “Corporate Governance in the 21st Century”, the consultancy has assembled a panel that is composed of industry leaders who will delve into a variety of topics that will help build expertise, connections, and continuous professional development.
Endorsed by the Good Governance Academy, a non-profit organisation that collaborates globally to share information on critical business issues as a public good, each conference participant will walk away with a certificate of attendance certified by the the Academy. These certificates are used by the Good Governance Academy support members for Continuing Professional Development / Education purposes – in the event a professional association is not an existing support member, the Good Governance Academy will endeavour to engage with the association for this purpose.
Speaking on the choice of topic for this year’s conference, Wise Leadership Managing Director Mpho Kgosietsile said, “We are thrilled to host our inaugural Corporate Governance Conference 2022, back off a successful virtual session held last year. This time we wish to meet in person, for an enhanced engagement and collaboration. The challenges facing corporate governance professionals have grown dramatically in the 21st century.
From expectations for board engagement to cybersecurity, directors and management face a growing range of complex issues and demands from shareholders and stakeholders. Our objective is to facilitate a space for professionals to gain a wealth of insight and strategically map out ways they can mitigate corporate governance challenges.”
