If you are looking for a show that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon, then you don’t want to miss Entangled, the hit comedy-drama series that follows the lives and loves of a group of friends in Johannesburg. On its second season, Entangled premieres every Thursday on 1Magic (DStv Channel 103) at 20h30, and it offers a carnival of emotions with its creative plots and unforgettable characters.
The narrative revolves around the complicated yet magnetic relationship between Sharon (Phuti Khomo) and Sizwe (Sisanda Henna), who can’t seem to stay away from each other, despite being involved with other people. Sharon is a hopeless romantic who works as a wedding planner, whilst Sizwe is a prosperous businessman who is engaged to the stunning Naledi (Linda Mtoba), his childhood sweetheart. Their chemistry is apparent, yet their timing is never quite right. Will they ever find their way to each other, or will they keep hurting themselves and others in the process?
Entangled also delves into the stories of their friends, who face their own trials and delights in the game of love. Thabo (Mpho Popps Modikoane) is a charming and witty radio DJ who is always on the lookout for the next thrill but never commits to anyone. Lerato (Nambitha Ben-Mazwi) is a brilliant and ambitious lawyer who is caught between her career and her affections for Thabo. There’s Nkosi (Thato Molamu), a gorgeous and affluent entrepreneur who is married to the lovely and devoted Nandi (Nolwazi Ngubeni) but has an affair with the intriguing and seductive Zinhle (Lerato Mvelase). And there is Nandi’s sister, Nomsa (Mamello Mokoena), a bubbly and optimistic journalist who is always looking for love in the wrong places.
“The show will captivate you with its twists and turns, humor and drama, and sympathetic and endearing characters. It’s a show about the art of living and loving in today’s world, with all of its complexity and inconsistencies. It’s a show that will make you think, feel, and laugh,” said Thembile Legwaila, MultiChoice Botswana Head of Marketing. She continues to express that, “DStv offers real stories that are relatable and allow you to see yourself on screen. We look forward to bringing even more crazy and entertaining content in 2024.”
