BET Africa has announced the upcoming premiere of The Real Black Pearl, an emotional, explosive, and fiercely entertaining look into Pearl Thusi’s life. The 10-part reality series follows Pearl as she embarks on a wild journey of healing and self-discovery starting on Saturday, 9 November at 19:30 CAT on BET (DStv Channel 129), The Real Black Pearl pulls back the curtain on Pearl to reveal Sthe, the real woman behind the brand.
In The Real Black Pearl, audiences will experience a side of Pearl Thusi they have never seen before. Known as a fierce actress, successful media mogul, and glamorous public figure, Pearl now reveals the raw and unfiltered aspects of her life, embracing her personal growth, healing, and self-discovery. Throughout the season, she takes on the roles of a high-energy DJ, unapologetic single mom, and nature-loving spiritual seeker, offering fans a unique and authentic glimpse into her world.

Pearl’s manager and occasional reluctant babysitter, Tank, her close family and her celebrity friends including Nadia Nakai, Reason and Gert-Johan Coetzee will also be part of the show.
