As part of the partnership between the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) and Global Venture Partners (GVP), acclaimed Botswana songstress Amantle Brown will perform at the prestigious SXSW and Billboard Global Power Players events in London, United Kingdom on 4th and 5th June 2025.
These performances coincide with the official launch of Billboard Africa. Amantle was selected by Billboard to represent Botswana at the awards ceremony, performing alongside African music icons Tems and rising star Lulu.
While in London, she will also promote Botswana’s creative sector, build networks, and explore international collaboration opportunities.
BITC extends sincere thanks to its clients—Christa Capital, Continental Reinsurance, and Emeritus—for their financial support in facilitating Amantle Brown’s participation in the Billboard events.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’m truly grateful to BITC, Christa Capital, Continental Reinsurance, Emeritus, and all the stakeholders who made this possible. I will represent Botswana and our artists with pride and carry our flag high. I’m excited to show the world what Botswana has to offer and to open doors for more creatives back home,” said Amantle Brown ahead of her weekend departure to London.
As part of the event, Billboard Africa will present a prestigious award to an African artist. The award includes a curated tourism experience in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. BITC client Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group have pledged to host the Billboard African Award winner at their flagship property, the renowned Chief’s Camp. This is another partnership worth appreciating as we see our local private sector coming together to support BITC’s efforts towards promoting and positioning Botswana globally.
BITC is working with stakeholders to explore the full potential of the GVP partnership and ensure Botswana benefits meaningfully. Through the partnership, GVP will establish the regional headquarters for its media brands—Billboard, TIME, Robb Report, and Rolling Stone (MENA region)—in Botswana.
