As part of its ongoing trajectory to improve its product offerings across the country, Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) has announced its development project at Cresta Marang in Francistown, which will add 10 luxury chalets to its inventory during 2024.
The Head of Projects at Cresta Marakanelo Limited, Keikutlwetse Raboloko, shared insights into the ongoing transformation of Cresta Marang, emphasizing the significant enhancements that will make it a sought-after destination. “The first phase of the project saw the completion of four of the units, which opened their doors to guests in January 2024.
These river facing chalets have been meticulously designed with modern aesthetics, and are raised on stilts with the balconies facing the river, and incorporate upgraded technology to meet the evolving needs of our guests. The strategic positioning facing the Tati River adds a safari look and feel, enhancing the overall guest experience,” announced Raboloko.
Known for its historical significance and strategic location in Francistown, Cresta Marang has been a haven for travelers from Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa for many years. The property previously featured 14 thatched chalets that are now in the process of being replaced with the new, luxury chalets designed to meet contemporary standards. “The development of the remaining 10 chalets, which are inclusive of two family units and a presidential suite, are ongoing.
The entire project is estimated to cost approximately P10 million, with the aim to have the entire project completed before the end of 2024,” Raboloko added. This strategic decision to add the luxury chalets to the Cresta Marang inventory underscores CML’s commitment to reinvestment into the Group’s infrastructure and to continuously enhance its standards, whilst ensuring that Cresta Hotels remains the preferred hospitality brand across the country for all travellers.
“CML is fully committed to ensuring that guest comfort and satisfaction remains the utmost priority across its group of hotels, and the Company is steadfast in its commitment to delivering a truly authentic African hospitality experience to all its guests. Our guests are encouraged to stay updated on the progress of the product enhancement initiatives across the Group, in anticipation of an improved value proposition and unmatched guest satisfaction once these projects are completed,” Raboloko concluded.
