Orange Money has launched the “DuelaEasy Win-a-Moraka” competition, aimed at driving the adoption of digital payments and increasing customer engagement. This exciting competition which is valid from 1st October 2024 – 31st December 2024 offers Orange Money customers and DuelaEasy merchants a unique opportunity to win a grand prize a Moraka of 10 does and 1 buck, providing locally relevant incentive for customers to boost their use of the DuelaEasy payment.

To participate in this competition, customers need to pay for their goods and services at any registered DuelaEasy merchants and will be automatically entered into the draw to stand a chance to win. Merchants will also be automatically entered in the competition by simply registering and accepting payments from their customers through DuelaEasy.

Every month we will see 5 lucky customers and 5 lucky DuelaEasy merchants walking away with a Moraka of 10 does and 1 buck each with a total of 30 lucky winners at the end of the competition. A total of 300 does and 30 bucks will be up for grabs during the competitionperiod.

The “Win-a-Moraka” competition aligns with Orange Money’s dedication to delivering services that resonate with the daily lives of Batswana. The grand prize—a herd of goats—represents wealth and stability in Botswana and serves as a practical and potentially lucrative reward for the winner.

“We wanted to offer something meaningful, beyond the usual cash prize. The Moraka is an investment in the future for our lucky winners, reflecting our deep connection to the local culture,” said Seabelo Pilane, CEO of Orange Money.

DuelaEasy is central to Orange Money’s broader strategy to promote cashless transactions and offer Batswana a more convenient way to pay for goods and services.

“As we push for greater digital adoption in Botswana, DuelaEasy simplifies payments for everyone. We are thrilled to give our customers a chance to win a truly unique and impactful prize while encouraging more cashless transactions,” Pilane added.

“The Win-a-Moraka competition is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal customers while introducing new users to the convenience of DuelaEasy. The more you use it, the more rewarding it becomes,” Pilane continued.

DuelaEasy has transformed the payment landscape in Botswana by offering a seamless, secure way to pay for goods and services via mobile phones at any registered DuelaEasy merchant. Payments can also be made by scanning QR Codes via the Orange Max it App. For merchants, the platform delivers instant payment confirmation, reducing the need for cash and enhancing payment efficiency and security.

Orange Money’s “Win-a-Moraka” competition aligns with its strategic goals, benefiting both customers and merchants. The launch is expected to increase customer loyalty, attract new users, and further strengthen Orange Money’s leadership in mobile payments.

As Orange Money continues to expand its footprint in digital finance, campaigns like “Transact and Win a Moraka” are making cashless payments both accessible and rewarding for all Batswana.
