Banking giant, First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) has announced another a sponsorship partnership of P500 000 for the first Botswana International Cross-country (BICC) slated for 27 January 2024 at Stanbic Bank Gaborone Golf Course in Gaborone. BICC, recognised as a Gold Status event by World Athletics, creates an extraordinary opportunity for FNBB to actively contribute to the multi-dimensional development of athletics in our country.
Speaking at the press briefing today in Gaborone, the FNBB Director of Marketing and Communications Peo Poroga highlighted that their interest in sports goes beyond traditional sponsorship as it reflects dedication to a shared value strategy which is aimed to ensure that communities which FNB Botswana operates in are developed and they benefit from our success.

Poroga further said in the next month, the FNB Kazungula Bridge Marathon, another significant event on their sporting calendar, will take place once again in Kazungula, Kasane. She said these collaborations are are integral parts of their efforts to uplift the community and stimulate economic growth.
The substantial sponsorship amount we have made will go towards planning, organising, and hosting the Botswana International Cross-country as well as prize money for the running athletes.
The sponsorship was accepted and welcomed by the CEO of Golden Door Sports Agency, Glody Dube accompanied by Botswana Athletics Association President, Moses Bantsi.
