Orange Botswana’s recently held the 2024 Orange Innovation Day bringing together the nation’s brightest minds in technology to celebrate achievements in social impact.
Hosted at Cresta Lodge on November 6, the event unveiled the winners of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) and the Orange Summer Challenge, awarding over P180,000 in prizes to pioneering projects committed to transforming health, education, and community welfare across Botswana and beyond.
Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) top honours went to Ikatise Mobile App, which received P50,000 for its innovative approach to providing essential resources to underserved communities.
Benchwarmers, took 1st runner-up with P30,000, while Duela Tech, specializing in digital financial solutions, earned P20,000 as the 2nd runner-up.
“These entrepreneurs are setting a powerful example for Botswana and beyond,” said Nene Maiga, CEO of Orange Botswana.
“Their commitment to innovation isn’t just about creating products; it’s about crafting real, scalable solutions to challenges in education, economic empowerment, and social welfare. We at Orange are incredibly proud to support these visionaries as they work to transform our communities.”
In addition to the OSVP winners, the Orange Summer Challenge recognized three standout projects for their high-impact technological solutions.
The top prize of P50,000 went to Project ReVision, an augmented reality tool that enriches learning experiences for students. Push Assist Pro, secured P30,000 as the 1st runner-up, while Road Ready, received P20,000 as the 2nd runner-up.

The annual OSVP program has become a core component of Orange Botswana’s commitment
to corporate social responsibility, championing tech-driven social change and providing Botswana’s brightest talents with tools, mentorship, and exposure.

As Orange Botswana’s Innovation Day concluded, the winning teams left not only with significant funding but also with new avenues for partnership and growth, ready to advance their projects and drive meaningful change across Botswana and beyond.
