In addition to the Shokomokwa borehole that was drilled in October 2022, Okavango Wilderness Safaris has installed a further six boreholes at five villages around its areas of operation in the north-west of the country. “Our borehole project is progressing very well, and the six new boreholes were successfully drilled and all are producing good water yields”, noted Moalosi Lebekwe, Okavango Wilderness Safaris Stakeholder Manager. The University of Botswana has acquired a Frequency Modulation (FM) license to run a community radio station. The Community Radio Broadcasting license was granted by the Botswana Communications Authority (BOCRA) recently. Launched in 2021, UB Radio has only been accessible online hence the acquisition of a Frequency Modulation (FM) license, is an exciting addition to both the University and broadcasting industry in Botswana. This means in addition to online platforms, UB Radio will now be on the following frequencies: 99.5FM in Gaborone, 107.2FM in Francistown and 101.0FM in Maun. GABORONE – The BIHL Group women’s leadership led by its CEO Catherine Lesetedi donated IT equipment to the Botswana GBV Prevention and Support Centre (BGBVC). The donation was made to commemorate of International Women’s Day held on the 8th of March under the theme: “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.
