The Botswana Insurance Company (BIC) Pimp Your Ride competition which saw hundreds of entries from participants came to an exhilarating grand finale today, with four BIC customers walking away with phenomenal prizes courtesy of BIC and Cresta. Amongst the four, one lucky BIC customer, Lebogang Lesetedi won a whopping P50,000 worth of car accessories from Broadhurst 4×4 while three walked away with Cresta Pride Membership cards.
The leading short-term insurer ran this competition to present customers with a more convenient way to engage with them as well as to encourage customers to utilize the company’s Customer Portal, “My BIC”, which allows existing users to manage their BIC accounts. Through the Customer Portal, consumers are able to oversee their policies and claims, procure quotations for BIC products, make payments and observe their payment history.
As Botswana’s leading short-term insurer, BIC has made it a point to prioritize customer service and experience above all else. The Customer Portal was designed to enhance BIC customers’ autonomy over their accounts as well as to heighten transparency. BIC is hopeful that this will strengthen their relationship with their customers.
“In order to create lasting value for our customers, we continue to challenge ourselves to break new boundaries and enter into unchartered territories. The insurance industry is growing at a fast pace. Staying relevant means constant product innovation, enhanced and personalized customer engagement, superior experience and engaging with emergent ecosystems. Last year we brought you our BIC virtual office – WhatsApp business assistant, Nkamo and our customer feedback system A Re Bue, this year we plan to keep you on your toes with the “My BIC” Portal, where the power now rests in your hands. We look forward to creating more daring platform that bring us closer to you,” says BIC Group CEO, Newton Jazire.
The draw took place in Cresta Lodge Gaborone. Winners were selected at random from a pool of entrants and notified through telephone calls. All winners had to produce valid original identification documents in the form of either their OMANG (citizens) or Passport (non-citizens) when claiming their prizes. The winners who welcomed these magnificent prizes were overjoyed and expressed their sincerest gratitude towards BIC. These prizes were given in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined on the BIC website.
