Former Miss Earth Botswana, Seneo Perry, has recently completed her journey at the Miss Face of Beauty International pageant in Taiwan, where she was crowned Miss Africa Continental Queen. She intends to leverage her reign to advocate for environmental conservation across Africa, with a special emphasis on children’s rights— an issue that resonates deeply with her.
“The past two weeks in Taiwan have been an incredible whirlwind, culminating in an unforgettable experience at the Face of Beauty International pageant. I am truly honored to receive the title of Continental Queen of Africa. This recognition is not merely a personal achievement; it offers a powerful platform for championing education rights for children in Africa,” she stated.
“I am immensely grateful for this opportunity, as it will enhance my efforts to tackle climate change, particularly regarding food insecurity, and foster harmony between wildlife and human communities. Additionally, I aim to raise awareness through my newly published book on Amazon about the Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation.”
Perry expressed her enthusiasm for immersing herself in Taiwan’s rich history, culture, and the challenges it faces with natural disasters. The Miss International pageant, organized by the International Culture Association, is one of the four major international beauty pageants alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth.
Reflecting on her participation, Perry remarked, “I am thrilled to have fulfilled my desire to return to the pageantry scene. Representing my country once again has been a dream come true. This year, I felt a compelling urge to be involved in pageantry, and I am grateful for this strategic platform to advocate for environmental conservation.”
Perry is dedicated to advancing environmental initiatives across Africa, driven by her newly published book titled “Elephants.” “Having received the Best Youth in Tourism Award 2023 while in New Zealand and being sponsored by Dr. George Mason for my master’s in Hotel Management, I plan to leverage my knowledge and passion to support the President’s campaign for mindset change through my forthcoming book.
“This book aims to educate children worldwide about Botswana’s relationship with elephants and how the Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation supports vulnerable communities living near these magnificent creatures. It is time to share Botswana’s conservation story and highlight our climate resilience.”
