A leading Namibian sportsbetting company PstBet, which was recently awarded a sportsbetting license in Botswana has appointed Advocate Mokoko Gaboutloeloe as the Chief Executive Office (CEO) for its Botswana operations. PstBet, a renowned international sports betting group, is thrilled to announce its expansion into the Botswana market under the local brand, PstBet Botswana.

As a pioneer in the betting industry, PstBet is set to redefine the sports betting experience for Batswana, offering cutting-edge technology, responsible gaming, and a commitment to community development. PstBet has a solid reputation internationally for its sports betting platforms, which offer a wide range of betting services in major sporting events around the globe.

PstBet has built a solid reputation internationally for its innovative sports betting platforms, offering a wide range of betting markets on major sports events around the globe. With its expansion into Botswana, PstBet promises to bring the same level of excellence that has made it a leading name in sports betting worldwide. However, what truly sets the company apart is its focus on tailoring its services to meet the unique needs of the local market.

PstBet Botswana is not just about betting – it’s about ensuring that sports betting is conducted responsibly. The company is committed to adhering to the strict guidelines set by the Botswana Gambling Authority, with a strong focus on responsible gaming practices. The company will implement various measures to ensure that customers are protected, including tools for self-exclusion and betting limits to promote responsible gambling.

Under the leadership of Advocate Mokoko Gaboutloeloe, who has been appointed CEO, the company intends to tap into his corporate leadership and legal experience to ensure that its level of corporate governance and responsibility are unmatched. Advocate Gaboutloeloe is a veteran corporate counsel with experience in regulatory compliance, corporate governance and enterprise management.

Mokoko graduated with an LLB from the University of Botswana, and has two master’s degrees, one in Strategic Management from University of Derby and one in Trade Law and Policy from University of Cape Town (UCT). His work experience includes working in various capacities including strategic management, regulatory and international postal affairs, legal services administration and executive management in various entities including BotswanaPost, Associate Fund Administrators (AFA), Botswana Unified Revenue Service BURS, Bokamoso Private Hospital, PPADB, Air Botswana and, until his appointment as PstBet Botswana CEO, he was part of executive management at Botswana Meat Commission.

The PstBet Chairman, Mr. Steve Hamunyela expressed the company’s delight at the appointment, and assured the market that Advocate Gaboutloeloe’s appointment as CEO was a perfect testament to the company’s commitment to ensuring that PstBet Botswana reflects the values and visions of Botswana as a country and as a people. “Mokoko has tremendous experience in all the sectors that have equiped him with management skills for a sportbetting operation. He has a unique understanding of the regulatory environment as a senior attorney and advocate. In addition, being an easy and outgoing person makes him approachable and the right image for the business and the sports betting industry. We wish him all the best,” Mr Hamunyela comments. As CEO, Mokoko will be providing strategic direction and overall accountability over the sportsbetting business, and leading stakeholder engagement and social responsibility programmes.”
