The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) has updated all its stakeholders on the preparations for the upcoming 27th Annual African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) Conference. The briefing which was led by BSE Head of Market Development, Thapelo Moribame, provided a detailed overview of the event, with other notable BSE leaders such as  Chairperson, Neo Mooki, and Acting CEO, Kopano Bolokwe present during a media briefing.

The leadership emphasized the importance of the event in positioning Botswana as a hub for capital market innovation and development in Africa.

Billed to take place from 27th to 29th November 2024 at the Royal Aria Conference Centre in Gaborone, the ASEA Conference will be held under the theme ‘Fostering Transformation in Capital Markets through Innovation’. The conference will feature a robust agenda, including presentations, panel discussions, and thought-provoking dialogues on key topics such as the future of capital markets, digitization, artificial intelligence, regulation, and product innovation. High-profile speakers from institutions such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, and major stock exchanges will bring diverse perspectives on advancing African markets.
