Hotwire, part of the esteemed Hotwire Family of Brands, has been awarded Best Public Affairs & Communications Firm 2024 – Botswana at the prestigious eighth annual Global Business Awards.

This recognition further solidifies Hotwire’s position as a leader in the public relations, public affairs, and reputation management landscape in Botswana, and indeed fast making its mark across the continent.

Each year, Corporate Vision’s Global Business Awards recognise companies from all sectors who demonstrate exceptional innovation, ethical practices, and sustained growth, setting new benchmarks for success.

This year sought to recognise organisations who have risen to the challenges of modern-day business, and whose practices distinguish them firmly from the rest of their peers. The Global Business Awards 2024 is merit-based, and winners were not decided by factors such as turnover or number of votes received, but by a dedicated Research and Judging team.

In addition to the Global Business Award, Hotwire recently garnered a Bronze Award at the 2024 PRISM Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, for its exceptional work on the Wilderness Botswana Inaugural Local Suppliers Expo.

This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it was Hotwire’s first time participating at the prestigious PRISMs, hosted by the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA). The award was granted within the B2B Diversity & Inclusion category, with the project designed to enhance the number of local suppliers as part of Wilderness’ procurement ecosystem.

Taazima Kala, General Manager & Chief Consultant of Hotwire, expressed her pride in the company’s recent achievements, stating: “Winning the Best Public Affairs & Communications Firm at the Global Business Awards is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust our clients place in us. It’s an honour to also be recognised on a regional stage at the PRISMs for our innovative work in promoting local suppliers in Botswana.

While awards are not the reason we do what we do, they do allow us to help shine an even greater light on the important work within our industry, and the phenomenal work we are privileged to do with our clients. We remain committed to driving purposeful change through strategic communication and engagement.”

Known for delivering impactful communication strategies and solutions, Hotwire continues to set the benchmark for excellence in a rapidly evolving industry. Purposed to help nurture mutually beneficial relationships for its clients, Hotwire has earned a stellar reputation for crafting authentic narratives and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders with value, innovation, relevance, and integrity. Hotwire has consistently driven results for its clients, addressing complex challenges in both the public and private sectors for going on 20 years now as a proudly Botswana-born business.
