FNB Botswana continues with its endeavour to bring banking services to the community. On 8 th July 2026, a new branch was opened in Tutume. The branch brings full-service banking closer to residents of Tutume and surrounding villages, reducing the need for clients to travel to Francistown for everyday banking services.

Clients will be offered a full suite of banking solutions, including transactional banking, lending, savings, investments and insurance, while complementing the bank’s existing alternative channels in the area such as CashPlus agents and ATMs. Speaking on the official opening, FNB Botswana Retail Banking Executive, Monkgogi Mogorosi said the investment reflects the bank’s commitment to bringing help and financial access closer to communities across Botswana.

“The opening of Tutume Branch is a significant milestone in the bank’s strategy to bring banking closer to where our clients live and do business. We are making it easier for individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses in Tutume and neighbouring villages to access the financial solutions they need to grow and prosper,” said Mogorosi.

Tutume is one of the largest villages in Botswana and serves a wider catchment area. within the Central District, which has an estimated population of about 165,000 people. The branch is expected to serve both retail and SME clients while reducing congestion at the Francistown Branch, which currently supports clients from the city and surrounding villages.

“We have supported clients in this area through our Bank on Wheels, CashPlus agents and digital channels, but establishing a permanent branch allows us to deliver a more comprehensive banking experience while strengthening relationships with clients and the local business community,” she said.

Mogorosi encouraged residents to make full use of the new facility and FNB Botswana’s integrated banking ecosystem. “Our goal is not only to increase the bank’s footprint but to improve convenience,
financial inclusion and client experience. We invite the people of Tutume and the surrounding areas to visit the new branch and discover how our solutions can help them achieve their personal and business ambitions,” she said.
