Phoi named Stanbic Bank chief finance and value management officer

Stanbic Bank Botswana has appointed of Realeboga Phoi as Chief Finance and Value Management Officer (CFVMO), effective 1st July 2022 post regulatory approvals.

Rea takes on the role after being with the Bank for 5 years first as Financial Controller and later as Head of Finance.

Said Stanbic Bank Botswana Chief Executive, Chose Modise, “Having worked with Rea in the last few years, I can confidently say she is a truly remarkable professional and I know she will deliver well in this new role. She has demonstrated passion for clients and a good balance between profit and purpose, thinking beyond finance. This is the kind of mindset that will help us in turn ensure the successful delivery of our purpose, “Botswana is our home, we drive her growth”.

Rea is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Association, holding an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She is also a Fellow Member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA). Rea brings over 18 years of professional experience, 11 years of which have been in the corporate financial services sector, including having worked with one of the big four audit firms for 7 years. While in the Banking and Insurance sectors Rea has held various senior leadership positions exposing her a Fellow Member of the Association to strategic issues and enterprise risk management.

Rea’s appointment is a further testament to Stanbic Bank’s commitment of growing its people and staying true to its talent and succession management philosophy. A true demonstration of both a sound talent development programme and the Inclusive Diversity Agenda.
