This year’s indeependence in September will be a one to remember for kids aged 2-16 as Fan’Mo Sports Agency conceptualizes a four destiny celebrations. From their backdrop of successful Absa Summer Kids Marathon, the two musketeers Martin Fani and Moagi Madisa are preparing a sought after kids run to celebrate the country’s 59th anniversary.

Every week in September, Francistown will dance on 6 September 2025, followed by Palapye on 13 September 2025, then Jwaneng on 20 September 2025 and grand finale in Gaborone on 27 September 2025.

When quizzed about the preparation for the events, co-directors are oozing with confidence on the what they term as a new era independence for kids, parallel with fitness and fun.

“Our preparations started two months ago, for all the places ideally we want to remake our national flag from colors of our participants where all will be wearing the national colors. It is important to us to remind the kids where we come from as a country thus delivering the message with a sporting activity. Any sporting code need a warm up and running is universal to sport”, said Madisa.

For his part, Fani said they are targeting that every place can produce 500 participants and they are planning massive surprises for the patrons.

“Our target is 500 kids per destination, we are adamant that we are going to surpass the targets. It becomes beautiful when all are coming wearing the national colors. And coincidently with school sport coming back, the kids are happy to partake in sporting activities and we edge the parents to register the kids in different destinations of their choice. We are about fitness and fun for kids at the same time; this tranverses to igniting the passion for kids to love sport which has now become a lucrative career. Thus, participation is very key”, said Fani.

Meanwhile registration is ongoing at P100 inclusive of medal, hydration and snacks for the participants. Other merchandises such as tshirts and socks are sold separately.
