The action will be aired live and in HD this Friday, 16th May at 18:00 on SuperSport Africa (DStv Channel 227), the Home of Athletics.

Born on 28th December 1999 in Botswana’s South-East District, Refilwe Murangi is quickly taking her space in Botswana’s league of sprinters, already making strides in athletics, particularly in the 100m and 400m events. To date she has raked in impressive achievements such as being part of the 4x100m relay team that set a national record with a time of 44.69 seconds in June of 2024, as well as achieving a personal best of 11.55 seconds in the 100m at the FNB Golden Grand Prix in April of 2025. This Friday in Doha, she will make history as the first Motswana woman to compete in the Diamond League’s 100m B race, supported by the infamous Coach Kebonyemodisa Dose Mosimanyane.
Also representing Botswana will be Letsile Tebogo in the Men’s 200m race and Tshepiso Masalela who will compete in the Men’s 800m race.
