Botswana’s sensational athletes and Olympiads, Letsile Tebogo and Collen Kebinatshipi will tonight return to the track for Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland for a showdown at a historic 15,700 capacity Pontaise Olympic Stadium.
Fresh from Paris 2024 Olympics glory, the inspirational Tebogo is tipped for 200m glory despite spending 8 days without training after ceremonious welcome in his country where he and the Olympic team were showered with prize monies including apartments.
His compatriot Kebinatshipi is slated for the 400 meters. The duo are seen as the next big track masters subsequent to their young age and prospects. Both at 21 years of age, they are under tutelage of national team coaches in Dose Mosimanegape and Chippa Ntshwarang respectively.
The races are the duo’s first since Paris 2024 Olympics where they triumphed, winning gold and silver medals for the country. Tebogo won gold in the highly contested 200m before helping Kebinatshipi and company to clinch silver in the 4x 400m relay.
