With the weather now mellow and warmer days now on the horizon, the 2023 spring season has already presented a variety colours and colour combinations. For this reason, a distinctive shift is being witnessed as we leave behind darker and more neutral colours of winter.

A bright spark in the world of colour this season has made room for vibrant tones, vitamin hues and crazy enough unexpected combinations. Already shades of pink, vermilion, electric lilac, powder blue, butter yellow, sunburst and zesty lemon are making waves in the creative industry as they are used to create fresh and interesting looks.

Whatever the case maybe, when you think of revamping your look for the warm- weather season, do not make a mistake of leaving out the colour green. Not only will these shades of green inspire a more vibrate wardrobe, but they bring with them a bevy of shades which will turn heads. Regardless of where they fall on the colour wheel, these shades will definitely leave a joyful and playful approach to spring.

Some of the green colours to look at include lime green -‘a web colour characterized by its vivid yellowish-green shade’, electric lime, Celadon -‘a pale greyish light yellowish shade of green’, evergreen-‘it resembles evergreen trees’, Fern-‘a brilliant yellowish shade of green, emerald, malachite, green Earth and Kelly green to highlight but a few. Lime green has been gaining popularity season after season. This spring/summer 2023 it will consolidate its position as the “it” colour of the period.

At least that’s what it looks like given its pre-eminence on a multitude of catwalks. The exotic green ties perfectly in with summer as a lively hue that could be seen in floor-sweeping looks by a variety of designers. For clothing combination, a fusion of energetic green with a sprinkle of vibrate yellow works well as they are seen as bold colours. An outfit mix with electric lime on the other hand shows the exuberance of nature at its most vibrant. It is also seen as a perfect hue for sparking curiosity and adds dynamism. Most people have the belief that one colour cannot be worn from head to toe but this spring we are going bold.

This spring serves bravery even though green is seen as a colour to tone down; we are doing green from head to toe. In addition, do not forget to assemble accessories like a scarf, bad, shoes, belt, and neck pieces of different colours to create contrast. If you desire to play safe, you can add black, white, grey and camel colours for also a sophisticated look. Lastly, one can go for prints or patterns not only solid colours.
