I Blew It Returns to Mzansi Magic with a New Season

Get ready for more jaw-dropping encounters of reckless spending and emotional revelations as I Blew It returns for a confession-filled seventh season, premiering on Sunday 22 February at 19:30 on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).

The fan-favourite reality series shines a spotlight on people of Mzansi who turned life-changing financial payouts into unforgettable chaos and are now confronted with the aftermath. Moreover, it highlights how financial stress often leads to personal distress, because it is a deep personal loss that goes beyond money. It impacts one’s identity, a sense of security and the lifestyle one has become used to. One such story follows a lady named Lerato who received a R1.9 million payout after a horrific hitandrun accident. What started off as just buying high-end cars, going on luxury holidays and designer shopping quickly unraveled into disastrous decisions and a failed investment that left her with nothing but regret.

We meet 59yearold Cebisile who used her R2.1 million RAF payout to chase longdelayed dreams…buying property, cars and funding a whirlwind romance with a charming “Ben 10”. As the relationship demanded more, she sold her possessions to maintain the lifestyle, only to face betrayal that left her broke, abandoned and forced to rebuild her life.

These are just some of the deeply personal and cautionary tales that will be shared by those that had it all and lost it all, and how self-reflection can shape the road to financial, emotional and psychological recovery.

Don’t miss the Season 7 premiere of I Blew It only on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161).
