In a rare occasion where the reigning Miss World has visited Botswana for its crowning of her representative to Miss World finale, Miss World Karolina Bielawska visited the landlocked Botswana fortnight ago courtesy of her friend and outgoing Miss Botswana Palesa Molefe. The Polish lass hasn’t hidden her excitement as she was charmed by the hospitality that she was given to her stint in Gaborone’s Cresta Hotel stay.
Upon her arrival, the world’s pageantry queen was given a warm Botswana hospitality that did not go unnoticed, which also made her comfortable and welcomed.
In an interview, Bielawska said, “together with Palesa, we rose to a dawn of chorus as we set out for a magnificent morning in Mokolodi Game Reserve for a safari tour. Our amazing guide took us on a magnificent drive. I am so excited to see this beautiful country”.
As part of Cresta Lodge’s tradition of welcoming its guests, the team organized a Meet & Greet with Miss World and former Miss Botswana that was attended by the city’s A-list including TV personality Marang Selolwane, gospel musician Shinkie and South African based DJ Oneal Africa.
“We were so honoured to be hosting Karolina Bielawska at Cresta Lodge, this makes us the first hotel in the country to host a Miss World. Our goal is to always provide excellent service, create memories and give an African experience to all our guests. We made sure that Miss World experiences all that and at the same time gets to appreciate Botswana. It is also pleasing to see that she fell in love with the country, food and the people,” said Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) Acting Group Sales and Marketing Manager, Boitumelo Khama.
She further stated that the relationship that CML has always shared with the Miss Botswana pageant contributed to Cresta Lodge being the most favoured and trusted hotel to host Karolina Bielawska.
