PlatinumShield Insurance Group announced the launch of the PlatinumShield Tombstone Cover, a standalone funeral plan enabling Batswana families to honour their loved ones with dignity. Underwritten by Westlife Insurance Botswana, this innovative product provides accessible memorial tributes valued between P10,000 and P50,000.
“We Remember,” Made Affordable” – Guided by this principle, the product serves all demographic segments—from corporate professionals to the unbanked—ensuring financial circumstances never prevent families from honouring their loved ones. The standalone plan provides transparent benefits with coverage extending to spouses, extended family members, parents, and parents-in-law, accommodating Botswana’s multi-generational family structures.
Entry is available from ages 18 to 70 years for principal members and spouses, and up to 21 years for children, age 85 for extended family and parents. Upon a valid death claim, beneficiaries receive a once-off pay out for tombstone procurement and installation.
