Stanbic Bank Botswana has once again demonstrated its leadership in driving digital transformation within the financial services sector, earning two prestigious accolades at the 2025 Visa Botswana Bank Awards held on 29 October 2025.

For the second consecutive year, the Bank received the Visa Payments Excellence Award, recognising institutions that deliver best-in-class efficiency, innovation, and seamless integration of payment solutions. This achievement reflects Stanbic Bank Botswana’s ongoing investment in technology and its commitment to building secure, inclusive, and client-centred digital ecosystems that support both individuals and businesses across the country.

Further cementing its leadership in brand engagement, the Bank also received the Visa Brand Awareness Award for the third consecutive year. The honour recognises Stanbic Bank’s strong collaboration with Visa in advancing visibility, leveraging shared marketing assets, and consistently activating campaigns that build trust and confidence in digital payments. The award underscores the Bank’s strength in aligning brand storytelling with purpose, connecting the Visa and Stanbic Bank brands around a shared vision of empowerment, access, and progress.

Said Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Personal and Private Banking, Mosetsana Kapeko, “We are honoured by this continued recognition from Visa, which reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared mission to advance financial inclusion through innovation. These awards reaffirm our dedication to creating seamless, secure, and customer-focused payment experiences that make a real difference in the lives of our clients and communities. This is how we strive to stay true to our purpose and our promise that Biotswana is our home and we drive her growth.”

The dual recognition reinforces Stanbic Bank Botswana’s dedicated role in helping to advance Botswana’s digital payments infrastructure and supporting the National economic transformation agenda. The Bank continues to drive progress through innovation, collaboration, and an unwavering focus on client experience for a more connected, accessible, and inclusive financial future.
