Stencil Technologies Founder and CEO Ogone Mothooagae will participate in a panel discussion themed ‘Enhancing Africa’s Value in ICT & Digital Services Value Chains’ with industry experts at the US-Africa Business Summit. The Summit which started today, 11 -14 July 2023 in Gaborone for the first time this year convenes under the theme “Enhancing Africa’s Value in Global Value Chains” with the aim to build on the momentum of the successful December 2022 U.S.- Africa Leaders Summit and Business Forum.
The key goal is to provide an opportunity to once again connect government and private sector decision-makers who are advancing the U.S.-Africa trade, investment, and business relationship.
“We are glad to be participating in the US-Africa Summit and quite excited that it is being hosted in Botswana, a historic feat. It is important for us as a continent to actively contribute to shaping global trade especially in the ICT sector. I believe through such a dialogue, we stand a better chance at influencing the global developmental agenda with Africa’s needs in mind.” Mothooagae said.
The 4-day summit is expected to cover discussions around: Health Security, Agribusiness, The Future of Energy, Finance, Mining, ICT, Infrastructure, Tourism Women and Diaspora-empowered trade with an aim to find common ground for trade between African economies and the US.
