Stanbic Bank Botswana has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to advancing wellness and community empowerment by sponsoring and participating in the 13th edition of the Morupule CEO’s Annual Charity Cycle Challenge, held on the 7th September 2025 in Palapye.

This year, the Bank contributed Three Hundred Thousand Pula (P300,000.00), towards the Challenge. To date, Stanbic Bank Botswana has injected over Two Million Pula (P2,000,000.00) into the Morupule CEO’s Annual Charity Cycle Challenge, reflecting a consistent and meaningful commitment to the growth of this initiative.

The event, now established as one of Botswana’s premier wellness and fundraising platforms, once again brought together hundreds of cyclists and supporters in a powerful display of unity and purpose. Beyond being a sporting challenge, the initiative raised funds dedicated to supporting impactful community development projects in Palapye and its surrounding areas. Stanbic Bank Botswana’s role as a main sponsor reflected its enduring purpose of driving growth and transformation in the communities it serves and the partnership underscored the Bank’s Corporate Social Investment agenda, particularly within its Health pillar and positions wellness as an essential foundation for both social resilience and economic advancement.

The 2025 edition of the Challenge showcased the determination of athletes and also the collective spirit of collaboration between private sector partners, local stakeholders, and community members. Stanbic Bank Botswana took this opportunity to demonstrate that wellness initiatives are central to building a healthier and more productive society, empowering individuals while accelerating national progress.

Over the years, Stanbic Bank’s continuous support of the Morupule CEO’s Annual Charity Cycle Challenge has highlighted its belief in sport as a driver of empowerment and growth. Head of Business and Commercial Banking, Lesego Osman, stated “Our purpose at Stanbic Bank Botswana is clear – Botswana is our home, we drive her growth. Through this Challenge, we see that purpose cometo life, as wellness, sport, and social upliftment intersect to create lasting impact for communities and for the future of our nation.”

By supporting this event, Stanbic Bank Botswana reinforced its role as a trusted partner in Botswana’s sustainable growth journey, linking financial leadership with social responsibility in a way that delivers lasting impact.

As the wheels turned on the roads of Palapye, so did a broader story of growth, resilience, and transformation. Stanbic Bank Botswana’s presence at the Challenge was a reflection of its dedication to a future where wellness and community empowerment remain cornerstones of national progress.
