In what has been a momentous year for Orange Botswana, the company has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to excellence by securing two highly coveted accolades at the Brand Africa Awards. Orange Botswana was named the Most Admired Brand in Telecommunications (Non-Botswana) and the Most Admired Brand Doing Good for People, Society, and the Environment (Non-Botswana).

These awards not only underscore the company’s dedication to innovation in telecommunications but also highlight its significantcontributions to societal well-being and environmental sustainability.

These honors arrive at a time when Orange Botswana has already been recognized as the leading telecommunications company in the country, further establishing its position as an industry trailblazer. The Brand Africa Awards, established in 2010, have become the definitive standard for acknowledging brands that drive growth, reputation, and competitiveness across the continent. The awards are based on extensive research conducted across 30 African countries, covering over 85% of the population and GDP of Africa, making them one of the most authoritative studies on brands in the region.

Néné Maïga, CEO of Orange Botswana, expressed her immense pride and gratitude for the recognition, stating, “At Orange Botswana, our success is deeply rooted in a strategic approach that combines innovation, community impact, and environmental stewardship. We continuously strive to set new benchmarks in the industry, and these awards are a testament to the relentless efforts and A-game that our team brings to every moment.”

Maïga further emphasized the critical role of the company’s workforce in achieving this milestone, saying, “Our staff members are the backbone of our success. Their dedication, creativity, and passion for excellence enable us to not only meet but exceed our goals. This recognition is as much theirs as it is the company’s.”

Acknowledging the customers who have been integral to the company’s journey, Maïga added, “We are incredibly grateful to our customers, whose trust and support drive us to continually innovate and deliver exceptional services. Without them, these achievements would not be possible.”

Inspired by this recognition, Orange Botswana is more motivated than ever to contribute to the development of Botswana’s economic landscape. The company remains committed to leveraging its resources and expertise to drive growth and innovation across various sectors, with a focus on enhancing the lives of Batswana through its diverse initiatives.

“This recognition fuels our ambition to further contribute to the country’s economic development,” Maïga said. “As we look ahead, we are excited to continue playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Botswana through our ongoing and future projects.”

The Brand Africa Awards shine a spotlight on the pivotal role that brands play in shaping Africa’s future, and Orange Botswana’s achievements are a testament to how a brand can successfully balance business excellence with social responsibility. As the company continues to lead the telecommunications sector in Botswana, it remains dedicated to setting new standards, uplifting communities, and reaffirming its position as a brand that truly cares for its customers and the environment.
