Paris Saint-Germain’s French forward Ousmane Dembélé has been awarded the 2025 Ballon d’Or. The 28-year-old striker beat out Lamine Yamal and teammate Vitinha in the voting, capping one of the finest seasons of his career.

Dembélé played a decisive role in PSG’s historic triumph — the Parisian club lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy for the first time, with Dembélé being named the tournament’s best player. He also helped secure a domestic “golden double” in France, finishing the season with an impressive record of 37 goals and 15 assists.

Other awards presented at the gala in Paris included:

  • Raymond Kopa Trophy (Best Young Player) — Lamine Yamal (Barcelona),
  • Yashin Trophy (Best Goalkeeper) — Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG),
  • Johan Cruyff Trophy (Best Coach) — Luis Enrique (PSG & Spain),
  • Gerd Müller Trophy (Top Scorer) — Viktor Gyökeres (63 goals for Sporting and Sweden, now at Arsenal).

In women’s football, Aitana Bonmatí (Barcelona) claimed the award for the third consecutive year.

The 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony was held on September 22 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Since 1956, the prize established by France Football has remained the most prestigious individual accolade in world football.
