The Sharks can confirm that Siya Kolisi has been granted an early release from his contract, to join French club Racing 92 after the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The Springbok captain joined the Cell C Sharks in 2021, and he has quickly become an integral member of the team. The Varsity Film Expo winners have been announced in an glamorous event held at the Molapo Showcase in Botswana’s capital city Gaborone from 15-17 December 2022. In a move aimed at addressing imbalance between women and men’s basketball, FIBA Africa has resolved to introduce a Professional Women’s basketball league similar to the men’s BAL. The resolution was made at a recently held Central Board meeting of the continental body in Maputo at the weekend. KIMANA, Kenya, 10 December 2022 – Maasai warriors who traditionally killed lions to prove their prestige and protect their livestock today competed in the 5th biennial Maasai Olympics, designed to update initiation practises to conserve the predators.
