The BIHL Group’s philanthropic arm, the BIHL Trust, once again reaffirm its focus on empowerment through education. For the 11th year, the Trust has pledged support and donation to the Maru-a-Pula (MaP) Secondary School Orphan and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) Programme, this year handing over P250,000.00 towards bursaries for the OVC Programme. As part of its initiatives of supporting local industries and advocating for the use of local raw materials PPC Botswana has injected P600 million in coal purchase from Morupule Coal Mine to SA plant for cement production. Speaking during a media plant tour today, the PPC’s Head of Business Unit Tuelo Botlhole stated that the cement manufacturing company acquires 230, 000 metric tons of coal worth P600 million annually for daily operational use. The Summer Kids Marathon (SKM) has fulfilled its promise to its patrons by donating school shoes worth P10, 000. 00 (Ten thousand Pula) to Medie Primary School in Kweneng District on the 23rd September 2022. Minergy, the coal mining and trading company, today released results for the year ended 30 June 2022. The Group achieved combined revenue of P425 million (2021: P193 million), with cost of sales of P484 million (2021: P256 million).
