Orange Botswana has been awarded the “Best Score in the Data Services Benchmark & Optimization (DSBO) Test 2025” by Commsquare, an international company that helps mobile network operators improve network performance and customer experience through monitoring, advanced analytics, and optimization services. The award reaffirms Orange Botswana’s position as the country’s leading telecommunications provider and a key driver of Botswana’s digital economy.
The campaign, conducted between 26 June and 15 July 2025, tested mobile network performance across 4,100 km of Botswana’s roads, covering both major urban centres and smaller towns, as well as interconnecting routes. Using Rohde & Schwarz equipment and in-car smartphones, the tests captured real user experiences by executing 2,300 voice calls and 20,000 data sessions per network.
Orange Botswana emerged as the clear leader, scoring 735 points under the European Telecommunications Standards Institute Technical Report 103 559 methodology the highest in the country. This accolade follows Orange Botswana’s 2024 recognition as the leading telco in Botswana across all fronts, consolidating its dominance in the sector.
Orange Botswana CEO, Néné Maïga, said the recognition is not just a win for the company but a milestone for Botswana.

Maïga added that the recognition highlights the broader impact of network leadership.
“When a nation has the best digital infrastructure, businesses grow faster, education becomes more accessible, and innovation thrives. This award is not only good for the ICT industry but also adds new impetus to Botswana’s economy by making it a stronger hub for digital investment.”
She emphasized Orange Botswana’s long-term vision to keep the country ahead in the digital race.

The Best DSBO 2025 score award cements Orange Botswana’s standing as the nation’s top telecommunications provider, while also underscoring the role of strong digital infrastructure in advancing Botswana’s global competitiveness.
