Tano Digital Solutions, a leading IT solutions provider, is officially launching its operations in Botswana after acquiring Altron Botswana late last year.

The highly-anticipated event marks a significant step forward for the company as it expands its regional footprint and brings innovative solutions to the dynamic Botswana market. Tano Digital Solutions Botswana (Tano Botswana) Country General Manager Tefo Noke commented on the launch: “We are excited to be a part of Botswana’s vibrant tech landscape.

Our commitment to strategic thinking, skills development, and local empowerment will be the cornerstones of our operations here. We aim to create a hub for IT expertise and innovation that not only serves Botswana but also contributes to the region’s growth.” Tano Digital Solutions Group CEO Wallen Mangere shared his insights on the expansion.

“The launch in Botswana is a strategic move for us. We are not merely entering a new market; we are making a commitment to be an economic driver in Botswana. Our presence here represents our dedication to supporting local industries and fostering a skilled workforce that can significantly impact the region.”

As part of its strategy, Tano Digital Solutions is set to establish an SAP delivery centre in Botswana, which will serve as the operational heart of the company. The centre will offer a range of innovative services, including those designed to address the SAP skills shortage in Southern Africa and the surrounding region.

“Our SAP Delivery Center has the potential to employ up to 100 people when in full swing. This not only supports our SAP products but also provides employment opportunities for the local workforce.” Wallen added.

Tefo Noke emphasized the importance of this move, stating, “We aim to bring new dimensions to the market by exporting valuable skills, ensuring that Botswana remains competitive in the global tech industry. This expansion is a win-win, allowing us to support local businesses while delivering exceptional IT solutions.”

The company also plans to support local entities, offering support that has normally been offered from outside Botswana and contributing to the growth of local expertise. Tano Digital Solutions intends to play a pivotal role in supporting small to medium-sized enterprises in Botswana by providing cost-effective solutions, especially in the SAP space.

The launch of Tano Digital Solutions in Botswana is a significant step in the company’s growth strategy. As it positions itself to be an industry leader, it brings with it a wealth of expertise and a strong commitment to local development, emphasizing the importance of skill development, job creation, and economic growth in the region. The company is set to redefine the IT landscape in Botswana and contribute to the country’s technological advancement.
